Create your own Snoopy figurine! University Games sent me all four Snoopy Original 3D Crystal Puzzles by BePuzzled to play with. The sets include Snoopy with Woodstock, Astronaut Snoopy, Flying Ace Snoopy in his plane and Snoopy on his doghouse. At the end of the article are videos of puzzle building.
Building the Puzzles
The Snoopy Original 3D Crystal Puzzles come in two difficulty levels. Snoopy’s Doghouse is level 2, while the rest are the easiest level 1. The transparent plastic puzzle pieces are shaped like traditional puzzle pieces. The main difference is each piece is like two pieces on top of each other, creating the 3-D puzzle effect. The final figures are held together with connecting rods, making them easy to move around without them falling apart. Decals are included for all puzzles to add accent details to the finished figurines.
Four Styles Of Puzzles
Buy at AmazonBuilding the puzzles takes a little getting used to. At first, it can be a little tricky figuring out where to start. With traditional puzzles, you start with pulling out the edge pieces. With 3-D puzzles, all the pieces are edge pieces! Instead, I found working out which pieces were the top or bottom of the piece worked best for me. Just like traditional puzzles, an element of sorting out specific bits of the big picture also helps. Overall, building the puzzles was challenging, but fun. Once you get the hang of building with the 3-D pieces, the puzzle starts to take shape quickly.
3-D Puzzle Pieces
Buy at AmazonIf you need help assembling the Snoopy Original 3D Crystal Puzzles, there are instructions available. I found I didn’t need instructions. The level 1 puzzles took about 20-30 minutes, while the level 2 Snoopy Doghouse took about 35 minutes. The instructions do include some helpful tips, such as how to insert the center pole and using the included key to tighten.
A Fun Challenge
A common question with puzzles is, “Will I replay it?” Yes! Due to video technical difficulties, I had the chance to replay most of the Snoopy Original 3D Crystal Puzzles. While the second time around I had a little bit better of an idea how to start, I still found it fulfilling. The holidays are coming and I will definitely be bringing these to our family gatherings. I left off the decals for now, so the puzzles are easier to rebuild.
